The Symbols Of The Tarot

The Symbols Of The Tarot

The tarot as I know it is a symbolic representation of the world we live in. Therefore, when we consult the tarot we are consulting our self as the universe. The tarot contains sets of symbols that make up the backbone of the cards meaning. When you understand these symbols you will come closer to knowing the true meaning of each card, and thus getting to know yourself in a deeper way.

OpenAI and Tarot

OpenAI ChatGPT and Tarot Descriptions

I had OpenAI ChatGPT tell me about the tarot’s major arcana, and the results are, for a lack of anything better to say, comprehensive.

What I find interesting is that I had to collect the data over the course of multiple days. You will see a shift in the answers once you get to the Wheel of Fortune. Strange right? Usually the Wheel of Fortune indicates the shift from physical reality into the spirit world. Isn’t it interesting that we see that same metaphoric demarcation happen when the AI approaches an explanation of the tarot.

Based on what I know about the tarot I would say that the text is not wrong. It just lacks the flavour a real writer with real tarot experience. Most of the descriptions re accurate on a surface level understanding of the tarot. If I had to, I would feel comfortable giving this to a first time tarot reader and letting them have a god at the major arcana cards.

Path and Sigil Elemental Tarot

Path and Sigil Elemental Tarot

I am very proud to announce that I have created a prototype tarot deck. This article will help define all the pieces of this tarot deck, and how I got to where I am now.

In 2020 I did much of the same but more.

The Tarot Strider Method

The Strider Tarot Reading Method

I came up with this method after purchasing the Linestrider mini Tarot deck. You will have to tell me in the comments below if this method exists. For now, I am calling this card reading the Strider Method.

The fact that it was a travel deck was the key. I needed a way of using the cards that didn’t require any space but my hands. I also needed a way to work with more than one card at a time and somehow save the results so I could look at them later.

The most work for the Strider method is in the preparations, and then reading the cards as a whole afterward. The real beauty of this is that it can capture a whole week and show you how it went.

Shuffling Your Tarot Cards

Shuffling Your Tarot Cards

Tarot readers talk about methods of clearing and cleansing your Tarot deck. However, few articles describe exact methods of shuffling your Tarot cards as a way to clear them.

Performing a ritual on the cards as way to cleanse or clear the cards is one thing, but shuffling can be a whole other thing. The act of shuffling the cards thoroughly does have the power to clear the deck in some way.
