This unboxing video will look at John Bauer Tarot from Lo Scarabeo. This a follow up to the previous unboxing of Rackham Tarot also by Lo Scarabeo. John Bauer Tarot falls into the theme of the golden age of illustration tarot decks.
This is an interesting case due to the fact the deck has multiple creators. The illustrator being John Bauer with the the collection of images edited by Pietro Alligo. Along with the editor Jaymi Elford wrote the instruction book that comes with the deck. This is the guide book and contains the tarot associations for all the cards.
John Bauer Tarot, like its counterpart Rackham Tarot, is a mystical collection of images. Each image contains something profoundly universal that allows it to fit the associations of the tarot. What is interesting is how both Bauer and Rackham created images without the foresight of having them be a part of a tarot deck. Maybe they did, and kept an artists secret. We will never know for sure.
