The cards themselves are just cards, nothing more. We have spoken of this in a another article, where it is you, the engine in which change is created. When the tarot is used by someone with charged intentions it becomes a potent tool for self-discovery, personal planning, and spiritual enlightenment.
The tarot works on both conscious and unconscious levels of the human psyche. What you choose to integrate cascades through all levels of your consciousness. This causes an increased sense of awareness and positive change over time.
Continued use of the tarot has a cumulative effect. The more you use it, the more you can change and improve.
In 2017 I had graduated from a major university with a bachelor of fine arts in music composition. After graduating I was not able to manifest the right work and career associated with music. Instead, I ended up in a career in sales and marketing. Soon after that, I was plunged into the occult and esoteric arts. The connection of sales and the occult came from my sales mentor who not only a master salesperson but a successful numerologist life coach. That subconsciously inspired me to look at my tarot cards once again.
After my sales career, I realized I could create content and also sell products and services by affiliate marketing. It gave me a chance to harness both my sales skill and my creativity.
I realized that I could create a web blog about anything I wanted. I tried a few different topics and then finally settled in with the topic of tarot. PathandTarot was born.
What first started as a platform for affiliate marketing became a house for my experiences with the tarot, self-discovery, and content creation. Yes, I still try to monetize this website through tacit methods to ensure its longevity. Now the website acts as a way to promote spirituality and to share my services with the world.
For me, the tarot gave me a creative outlet to further my education. This creative outlet also serves as a way to do needed shadow work and clear myself of spiritual obstructions.
What I do now with the tarot is still part of the fine arts. The performance arm of the tarot benefits from my education in musical improvisation and composition. We will talk more about what the tarot is in the next PathandAnswers.
