CBD Tarot de Marseille on a Go board

Using the Go board I was able to create a unique card spread with my elemental cards. It was just a matter of using a tarot deck to do the same thing.

In this video, we will be using my custom CBDTarot de Marseille deck. The images were created by Dr. Yoav Ben-Dov and the cards were printed with Make Playing Cards. I customized and resized the images within a border of my creation. I also renamed the cards with English instead of using the French text.

Anyone can use these images under a creative commons copyright. This means that I can use the images if I give credit, and I don’t sell them. If you want to learn how to print your CBDTarot deck you can learn more here.

The Card Spread

To do the card spread I shuffle the cards well. This is my clearing ritual for the cards. The more I shuffle the cards the more I feel like the cards are in random order. I am keeping my question as open as possible. I only want to deliver a good card spread. So, my question is how can I do that?

Once the cards are shuffled I cut the deck on the grid. The board is divided into two halves. Each side contains 9 cards for a 3 x 3 grid. One of the card places has one half of the deck. So, that leaves us with 8 cards per half of the board.

I draw a card and place it in front of the stack it was drawn from. Next, I draw a card from the other side placing it in the same way as the first. Then I repeat this from side to side. Once this is done I will have 2 cards in front of each stack.

Special note: It doesn’t matter if you start left to right or right to left. It only matters that you alternate.

Once the first set of cards has been drawn out. I continue to draw cards from each stack alternating each time. I place them in the available spaces on the side I have to draw from. I can either place them above or below the first set of cards. I use my intuition to place the cards where they resonate the most.

I look for patterns when I place the cards. To find connections I look for similar suits and elemental dignities. These are elements that empower or dis-empower each other. If you know what elements match in the tarot suits, then you can match them according to how the elements interact with each other.
