Golden Dawn Magical Tarot Unboxing

This was a great unboxing video. I had so much fun doing it. It was easy to see that there are many complexities at work within this tarot deck. I am excited to learn about the golden dawn method of tarot reading as well as its magical tradition. It is clear that plenty of work is needed to understand the full scope of the deck, and I am grateful for that.

This was great to experience the deck as I did during the unboxing. This feels like an incredible deck to work with. At first glance, the guide book seems informative, complete, and also complex. The card stock feels incredible. The cards are large and the design in the middle of the card is about the size of a regular playing card. I also appreciate how the information is organized on the card. It makes clear use of the zodiac, elemental and planetary signs to help the reader work with the card meaning. Physically the cards feel great in my hands and are a joy to work with. I have small hands, but I am sure I will be able to shuffle these cards with practice.

One distinct difference with this deck is the use of Arabic numerals instead of Roman numerals. There is nothing wrong with either, but I find the Arabic numerals easy to read quickly. I grew up using 0 through 9, so why not read the tarot using those numbers. This is a difference that I personally appreciate mainly due to ease of use.

This feels like a great deck to have. When Chic Cicero & Sandra Tabatha Cicero’s Golden Dawn Magical Tarot is paired with their book Golden Dawn Magic: A Complete Guide to the High Magical Arts I think you may have a winning combination of resources for learning tarot.

You can access these books through my Amazon associates link. Read my disclaimer for more info. I am linking these items here mainly for informational purposes, but if you decide to order them through Amazon I think you will be pleased with the results.3
